Theres like three ranges up here in the Flathead Valley. The one in Columbia Falls is: Name. North Valley Sportsman's Club (NVSC) Adress. 30-06 B.F.N. Montana Phone. (406)892-4006 or (406)261-6708 Web-Email. http://www.nvsc.info Directions. North of C-falls on the Northfork Highway about 3-4 miles. See the clearcut on the right, and turn right. What can you shoot there? Anything you want... Its got a 400 yard rifle range, covered rifle line with concrete benches, 4 50 yard pistol lines (one is halfassedly covered) The Whitefish rifle club I have no info on... Other than its the only 1000 yard range locally. Although all the local 1000 yard benchrest shoots are held in Missoula (not enough room at Whitefish anymore) The NWMACA indoor and trap range, I again have no info on... The Bigfork Rod and Gun club you can find from the IDPA website (look for affiliated clubs in MT) You can even see where I place in the local matches in SSP (they post the scores there) I know I'm missin' one... |

Name: Oregon Trail Shooting Range Location: 2 1/2 mile Rd., Pocatello, ID 83201. Phone: 208-238-1158 Email: [email protected] Facilities include: Outdoor only. Main range is 200yds. Other sections include distances of up to 50yds. Benches and overhead shelter are provided for all but the trap shooting section. Rifles, pistols, and shotguns are all allowed. Range Access: Members and guests only. Membership costs $35/yr, and can be purchased at several locations including Sam's Gun Shop and Doc's Gun Barn. Guests must pay $3 per visit, which is payable at a drop box next to the main range. Range is open all year, but the roads can be difficult to traverse at times during the winter without 4x4 and snow tires. |

There is also an outdoor range about a mile up Hobble Creek Canyon: Pacific States Rifle Club Shooting Range, 4896 E. Hobble Rifle (out to 200 yrd) and pistol facilities. I seem to have lost the hours and phone #, it's only open two days a week, they only charge a $5/year membership fee. |

Bountiful Lions Club Range Address 1350 East Skyline Bountiful, UT 84010 Phone Info 801-298-0301 In Bouniful just to the left of the big B on the mountain. Go up 400 south for a long ways. You have to go through some neighborhoods but basically you just keep going up the hill until you see a flag pole and a dirt road just to the right of it. Follow the dirt road back just a bit and tada theres your shooting range. It's 4 bucks a person for as long as you can shoot. I was just there plinking with some 22s today and one of my guns kept jamming the ammo in the chamber (chamber is dirty...pretty bad), anyways the guy came out and sprayed some sort of cleaner in on the bolt and in the chamber and sure enough it helped get the grime out. Nice guys. |
| Lions club range is ok unless the old fart that has been running it sence i was a little kid gets in one of his moods and he hates assault rifles... i wont shoot anything but handguns there because of the prick that runs the place. he has some screws loose if he forgets his meds. |
