I have a Bremmer that has developed trouble feeding now and again, it does not seem to feed the round fully into the barrel intermitantly,
I have cleaned everything and have now put it down to the recoil spring losing its strength (it has never been good at feeding minimags etc).
Any ideas where I can get a new spring or what else it could be?

Cheers

Try Lanner Tactical, if he can't help Bradders might be able to, I have some spare Lakeside springs that might work but I'm not sure what a Bremmer uses.

Thanks Submariner, been told that the Lakeside springs will work. Would you sell me one?

Please try Lanner Tactical first, if they or Bradders can't help I'll see what I can dig out.

If it's not fully closing it could be dirt on the bolt or more likely the chamber mouth has been dinged by dryfiring.
If this the case as soon as the hammer hits home the bolt/case will fully seat but won't fire, leaving a small firing pin mark on the rim.

I have some std springs, but I'm inthe good old' US of A at the moment.
If you can wait until you get back I can send you one, but I doubt it's the spring.
Do what scope eye said and check the chamber for dings

Thanks guys, appreciate the help.
Will check the chamber but I think its the spring as when I hand feed the first round I can usually fire
off a full 20 rnd mag only having a problem occasionally when the bolt doesn't fully close.

Could the charging handle be offering enough resistance to slow things down?  Filing the catch down slightly is a hint Bradders gave me ages ago that improved feeding the first round...

Thanks Pete for your offering.

Charging handle runs smoothly, have checked chamber and no evidence any dings.

The problem is with the first round feeding usually the bolt stops about 2 to 4 mm short of fully closing
with the round not fully entering the chamber. Cleaned everything and made sure nothings snagging so
the only thing I can think of is the bolt recoil spring.

Not knowing exactly how a .22 AR is fed from the magazine handicaps me a bit, but a while ago one of our members had a annoying fault with his Feinwerkbau AW 93 and he could not for the love of God make it feed correctly until someone pointed out his broken extractor........ Apparently the extractor helps in feeding by guiding the rim a bit of the way up and out of the mag.
But what do I know about cucumber sandwiches....
