I do not know for certainty that this information is correct but according to a lady that posts on this thread here  www.ksccw.com/site/showthread.php?t=6144&page=8 SB 46 has until the 14th to be vetoed by the Governor. After that it becomes law without here signature.

Her post is the third one down. I link it here because she was a very solid source of quality information about the bill for the last few weeks.

So, Monday?

On the Kansas web site under senate bill 46 tracking it says it was just sent to governor today. I think she still has 10 days from today.

Damnit!  They evidently upated that page right after I made my post.  I didn't think it had went to her for the veto yet but after a weeks time I went with info on the other site.

Getting closer!  I have heard that she may not veto it, simply because the numbers are there to override the veto.  If that's the case, it goes down that she didn't endorse it, and it doesn't waste time and resources come the veto session.

They have coal powerplants in Holcomb to worry themselves with...

I hope you are right.

A local friend and I were speculating today on the possibility of her simply not signing it and letting it pass to avoid another large over ride akin to the CCW one.

Very interesting stuff no matter which direction it heads.

I asked Patricia Stoneking how long the Governor had to make a decision and she indicated April 14 as the deadline.  Patricia is very knowledgeable about these issues, so hopefully we'll know something positive early next week.

Ask her again.  She had it wrong and corrected herself.  Deadline is 10 days from April 11th.
