NYS Resident to NYS Resident mailing of a lower reciever via the mail is cool right?  Or does it have to be UPS.

So if I send it USPS do I just box it up and send or do I have to declare it or something.

First time sending instate to Non FFL and I would prefer that neither the buyer or myself gets a visit from the "Grey and Purple"

dont have to declare anything

A lower goes right through. It is suggested and may be the rule that something like a boltgun or semi have the bolt removed, pretty sure that is reg, but anyone feel free to chime in.

I have shipped multiple weapons via USPS. What I have been told by many a Postmaster is the weapon cannot be completely assembled!! If you remove the bolt you solved the problem!!

As far as shipping direct to an individual, I have never done that.

I have been told and read threads here that say its no problem. I personally would prefer a face to face or just ship it to an FFL.

Is it a stripped lower/no stock? If so the ATF classifies a stripped lower as "other" firearm and not a rifle. If that's the case I'd ship it UPS declared as a firearm and adult signature required.
