Anyone interested in doing a co-op for primers and powder from Wideners?

With the cost of local cost of primers and powder I've been thinking about trying to order in bulk but with hazmat fees it only makes sense if ordered in quantities that I couldn't use myself.

ETA: I have been informed we can't do a group buy through ARFCOM so I will be placing an order and will see if others can have their order shipped with mine to save HAZMAT fees...

If you can pull something together really fast, Graf's is waiving the hazmat fee for powder order of 15 pounds or more today and tomorrow

I think if we can get 3-5 people we could get a small order put together.

I'm new to reloading. I want to load for 223, 45acp, and 9mm. I have brass and primers but haven't looked onto which powder to use.  Any suggestions?

TAC for 223 for medium to heavy wt bullets.  H335 if you just want mid weight bullets only.  Skip Varget unless want from light to heavy wt. bullet spectrum.  Varget does not measure that well, where as TAC and H335 measure like water.
I would say 231 or HP38 for 45 ACP and 9MM but there is not much out there.  So, my next suggestion would be Unique for new reloaders hard to go wrong.
Another great choice would be VV N320 super clean and great accuracy....

For .223 I like H335 and Varget as well. For .45 and 9mm I use W231 and HS-6.

Primers at some vendors are too expensive, but they are not as some places in the metro.....

Lets do this; I'll contact Widener's on Monday and find out if we can do a group buy. Hopefully we can each call in and make an order with payment then get it all shipped in one package. We could all meet up on a Saturday maybe grab brunch and split up the supplies.

If Widener's is willing to do a group buy we can all order before the end of the week and have the stuff the next weekend.

Let me know if that works.

See OP. We can't set up a group by on ARFCOM, so I will place an order and see if we can get multiple orders in one shipment then to save hazmat fees. If you would like to get in on this email me what you would like and we can work out the details via email.

Mods - let me know if this is acceptable
