| Who has the best prices on reloading equipment and suplies in the 4 corners? |
|
Hi Friiguy, The only place I have seen that has anything is East Main trade center. Prices are high on components but equipment wasn't unreasonable. Oh I guess Ross has some too, but unfortunately I can't recommend them after taking the CCW class there. If you ever get down to ABQ check out Sportsmans Warehouse. Online check out MidwayUSA, Grafs, NatchezSS. I'd be happy to help you get started. I buy 99% of my reloading stuff online. |

I was disappointed in the class for many reasons. The most disturbing was the instructors heavily biased opinions and lack of meeting state course requirements. I realize there are many differences of opinion on firearms and self defense issues amongst experts. I also feel strongly that an instructor of an entry level class should focus on basic facts and findamental safety, the things all experts agree upon. I am an experienced gun owner and practician, just took the class to get my license. Furthermore, for over $150 per student, I expect upmost professionalism. This was not the case. There are one day classes in ABQ for $100 taught by instructors with top notch credentials. I should have gone that route. If you would like a detailed explanation (rant) I would be happy to indulge you via PM or email. But, it is not my intention to talk trash about Ross Sporting Goods, I just won't be giving them any further business. Anyway, went to Bloomfield Pawn today, rescued a nice old WW2 era M&P. Very friendly staff there. They have reloading supplies, I only priced primers, over 30$/case. Ouch, double what I paid at Grafs. Guns were fairly priced though and they bargained with me. |
Same as above but add some .30 cal for the 30-06. Just completed Ross's class Sat. morning. My opinion on the class is somewhat similiar to Anomad's, but I did learn new (to me) techniques. I think that the instructor did fairly good at teaching the basics, but the more I think of situations, the more questions I have. I would recommend Ross's CCW class only if you can take the opinions presented with a grain of salt, I.E. Glock is the end all best handgun there will EVER be and has EVER been. |
