Im looking at building a realoading / workbench. Does it need to be a certain height for the reloading operations?

not really for the equipment, but i built mine tall so when i'm sitting everything is mid-torso high. This way i'm not leaning or reaching too much, cause reloading is not a quick process. i'll load for 2-3hrs at a time, so you want to be real comfortable.

personally, i'd build it so that when sitting on a bar stool, the bench surface is just below my solar plexus.

For a progressive, you want the press handle to be close to shoulder high in the up position.

It really is up to you. A lot of it depends on if you want to stand or sit. Here is a pick of mine and it is 40" high.
