Some people have a very different persona when online. I have heard several time when someone appears to be very abrasive online that people that know them personally find them to be very different "in the flesh". I think this is often true of younger people (but that may just be me being an OF). I know that when I was younger I was *much* more abrasive in e-mail/usenet postings. its something most people grow out of. Whatever ... it was a bit dumb to say what he did in a public forum. I was surprised it took as long as it did to get a staff reaction -- especially considering recent history in this forum. |
