After drooling over the USA section, would we be able to have a few perminant UK headdings like : non 223 calibers / reloading / new to Uk market / Uk makers & suppliers/ nothing to tecnical but some where easy to look on for new players like me to use as a UK referance , without asking dumb ass questions that im sure have been asked too many times before ! oh yes what about a "Slanging match " headding ! |
You have just had a run in with the eletists that's all. Don't worry about it. Keep asking any questions you want, someone will help you out if they can. Cheers Taffy |

Apparently I'm not. It is sunday after all And that's elitist too, is it? |
I'm not going to go over old ground you guys know what I feel. Plinker or serious competition shooter...new shooter or old shooter . AR15 or bolt gun...22 or .50.. We should never look down on one another. Cheers Taffy Mark...you need to use your smileys more often. Even I can't tell which posts are serious and which are piss taking |
Depends.... Did you go to confesion this morning? |
Contrary to what you might think, I do support all the shooting disciplines. But the fact is.........most shooters are afraid of competition and I don't understand why. I challenge any one of you to come along to one of the shoots that we organise, or attend, and you will see that we are not a bunch of super serious competitors, but nothing more than a group of like minded people. You might also experience some varied and challenging COF's and heaven forbid, you might even enjoy yourself You will also get to meet me and see what a great bloke I really am ( another one)OK, here's something I don't understand, there are people on this board that have rifle's like AR's with the big mags and the cocking handles etc that have guns that are eminently suitable for action type disciplines, and they belong to clubs where all they do is lie on their bellies and fire slow fire single shots at bullseyes at 200 or if they're really daring, 300yds. ![]() All I want to do is encourage people to come and have a go. It's fun, you get to see all the neat stuff and meet a bunch of decent people, but plenty of you have an aversion to that. Won't stop me trying though. Here's some food for thought though, one of the board members here was telling me that one of his club members was refused another .22 rifle because he doesn't shoot enough competition, and this way of thinking is starting to permeate through more and more police forces. It's up to you |
