| Ok, so this last summer I found myself single, and I have began to start looking within the last month or so, and the girl I'm talking to I am making read UIC prior to entertaining a serious relationship, thoughts from the guys? :-) |

Seek, you got to read it...
Damn man, making the GF to read UIC. Wonder what she is going to think about the two gals. And I found the first halve of the book to be interesting. Hell never knew about the Warsaw Ghetto. Wished I had an uncle like uncle Max. Think that was the one with the need for speed and loved to go to dove shoots. Going to have to drag it out and read it again this winter. Its one hell of a read at a little over 800 pages. Got mine signed by John.. |

Never read it. Borryed Josh's copy once, Couldn't "get there" just lost interest rapidly... Kept waiting for the action to start... just didn't. Now Marcus Luttrell's book Lone Survivor I was on every word and unable to put it down! |

Now Marcus Luttrell's book Lone Survivor I was on every word and unable to put it down! I was the same with Chris Kyle's and mark Owens books. Chris Kyle's Book had the opposite effect for me. I was just not interested in Reading "LOOK AT ME LOOK HOW AWESOME I AM" from a "Silent Professional" I respect the man, I do, I felt a pain when he was murdered... but dang... Kinda lost a little respect for him given his association with the Red Jacket Retards but meh. A Man has to eat! When I read Richard Marcinko's Book "Rogue Warrior" it held my interest even though it would be boring to some. I read my copy of Small Unit Tactics Smart Book from cover to cover... |

This ignorant '13er believes the UIC reference is to the book Unintended Consequences by John Ross. He had a great blog for a while called Ross in Range. The all knowing members from the century's first decade may correct me if I am wrong. Yes that is the one. Now carry your 13'er ass out of here.....
Just kidding, welcome Newbie....

Now Marcus Luttrell's book Lone Survivor I was on every word and unable to put it down! + another on regarding Lone Survivor. The one thing I couldn't understand though, and the only thing I second guess about the book... Because I seriously respect and step aside for their greatness... I don't understand why Lutrell didn't kill the man he and his unit were sent to kill when he had the chance? Sure. He would have been killed instantly, but he was the lone survivor of his unit. They all died trying to kill a target. Again... I am not judging the guy, because... Well, he is great, and in comparrison, I am not... |
