He wants a US constitutional amendment to prohibit the Feds from spending more money than they take in. He said that he would be contacting other governors to try and get it started.

This is great until our esteemed representatives pass a resolution to ignore it. You know, the way they do every other law concerning spending. At one time we had a balanced budget law. IIRC it was passed back in the 70s. You see how well that worked.

Slippery slopes and all that. I'm of the opinion that we need to stop making laws altogether and dig deep to see how much we can actually repeal/discard.
