I'm obviously bummed about the results last night. I had never in my life put this much effort into an election. All in all, 19 people got registered to vote because of me and over 30 (I didn't count exactly) voted for Astorino due to my persuading and pressure. $250 out of my family budget were donated to Rob as well. Months of campaigning, putting up signs, placing urinal targets etc. Unfortunately, our side did not turn out to vote at all. People chose to stay home and remain slaves to the communist tyrant fuck we have in office. That's a huge disappointment.

On a bright side, I get to keep Astorino as my County Executive. the Republicans took the Senate and will hopefully prevent new gun laws and "citizenship" for illegals.

I spoke to an older gentleman, a member of NYSRPA by the train station this morning. He had spoken to Rob previously. Astorino has a lot of fight in him and will run again. He will have the name recognition the second time around. Cuomo will be gone, the field will be wide open. Rob will win the next time, I am sure of that. Same thing happened when he ran against Spano. He lost the first time and cleaned up the house the second time. We will see him as Governor in 4 years. We just have to keep spreading the word and get the lazy bastards out to vote.

Do not despair. We lost this battle, but we will win the war.

Time is ticking, though.  Will I be the lucky one that doesn't get caught by the nazis before the war swings in our favor?

Ed Cox and Krispy Kreme need to go and be replaced with qualified people who will handle their responsibilities properly and extend their full support and resources to GOP candidates.

I'm pretty sure this is gubernatorial loss #3 for Cox, and Christie's justification for not helping Astorino was clearly way off base, since Rob captured roughly 47 counties and 40% of the vote. If those two did their jobs we might be having a much different conversation today.

I would like to see Astorino run again.

Name recognition was a big problem for him this time around.  He has a higher profile now and can leverage that.

Yeah, but it looks like he couldn't even carry his own county, last I looked...whats up with that?

I go back to what I was saying way earlier in the year....unfortunatley, Trump was the only real viable candidate against Cumhole in this state...he had the name recognition, and more importantly, the MONEY to put it to Cumhole. Astorino, in reality, had neither, and I think the lack of money really hurt him. I donated to him too, but there is only so much $100, $200, or $500 donations can do against a money juggernaut like Cuomo....its also a sad commentary that politics in this country has become basically, a money contest. He who has the most money generally wins....

If Trump wanted to run, he would have ran. But he just gets his name out there, goes to a few meetings and just quits. He wants to stroke his ego, not the actual job.

I agree, I think he fuckd us all with his theatrics, but he could have beat Cuomo. Astorino was a long shot at best, and the money thing I think was the biggest undoing. If he had Trump money he could have overcome the name recognition issue. Unfortunately without it he could not. How many voters out there got their ballot and said "Astor-who?" That certainly hurt the cause....

Lets face it, the sheer amount of absolute dumbasses in this state and country dictates that when the stupid, lazy bastards actually do go an vote, when confronted with a ballot, they just mark down the name they recognize. Plus the stupid assholes believe the lies like the Buffalo billions, and I lowered taxes and created jobs. My fucking taxes are certainly higher than they were 4 years ago....

I like Rob. That is something I almost never say. Its usually a hold your nose and vote R, but not the case here.

Rob needs to run again! He is what NY needs. He just  had a very uphill race against all the D money here and some name recognition issues here in WNY.

I need a sticker that says:
"Dont blame me, I voted for Rob"

BTW, I too tried to persuade my friends and neighbors to vote for Astorino.
Everybody complains and whines about the safe act, but in reality
I think only half of them voted, some just don't care anymore.

Thank you Rob.  I have one hell of a hangover today at work. Lol.  I am glad in our county we showed very good support and voted in a DA that is 100% anti safe act.

Cuomo is from the same county, and so are the Clintons.  Westchester is 2:1 Democrat:Republican, and Rob was pretty competitive in Westchester when you take that into consideration.

I guess it's hard to win an election when you have busloads of "Gibs muh Dats" going from town to town and voting and voting for the party against you.
I've had it with this state, out of here as soon as I can go.  I would rather give my money to a state that doesn't consider me an "extremist"...

It's even harder when the rest of the people can't be bothered to get off their asses to vote.

Fucking media cunts keep repeating that Cuomo is unbeatable and will cruise to victory didn't heip, but there's no excuse not to get off your ass and vote.

Cuomo may not be gone. There is a good chance he runs for a third term in 2018. Astorino would likely not seek re-election as county exec in 2017. That would give him the ability to campaign full-time in 2018.  A lot depends on the 2016 presidential race. Cuomo may or may not dive in. His poor performance, massive spending and crazy statements in this election have damaged his presidential prospects severely.

I doubt the DNC would take a chance on him. His reelection stats were pitiful even though hr did win.

This.

I blame the lazy voters first then the R party for not supporting him. With adequate media exposure he would have won. Why they have CC as the head of the Governors is a joke the guy is a Democrat.
