If sent for work, make absolutely sure your material is there before you get there.  Demand photographic proof before departing.

Bring cash, food, bottled water and beer/alcohol with you.  Bottled water costs more than beer back home, food if not provided at the place you stay at does not exist.  The store only carries miller highlife.  The cost of a 12 pack and a box of pop tarts is $30.

There are only three ways to pay for items at the store cash, money order from the post office or quest card(ebt)

Chances are the plane you fly home on will be delayed if snowy or foggy...for days.

Bring g a book or laptop with movies from home the internet kind of picks and chooses when it wants to work.

Sent from a cabin at a bed and breakfast in Ruby.

I would recommend having cash when going to any village.

Always bring snacks/food with you for a few days.

I thought galena was nice the store while overprice compared to town was at least well stocked.  Ruby isn't bad  its just missing a store that has inventory.

Davis bacon for the win indeed.  I am working at the school replacing 2 and a half month old flooring.

Knikshooter not the first trip to the bush but was the first time visa got turned down
