I hate to say it but this guy seems like a better candidate than i've seen in a long time. Although I don't plan on voting for him given the close nature of this election. Actually my state senator Lauzen was telling me about him over the phone and said he's the real deal. If only our Rep's in congress had the balls to speak out like this guy.

I like the Constitution Party, except for their cut and run stance on Iraq. If they could just get that right, then I'd sign up.

Is he on the ballot or a write in?

He seems really pro second amendment, however I'm a little leery on what moparman just said about cutting and running in Iraq.

He's a write-in. For the record, I don't know Randy's actual stance on the Iraq situation.

+1, it's the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in.

I agree with yas...nada on the 3rd party. It's too bad though,He's got some good stances. Not sure about the Iraq thing. Not that his Iraq opinion matters as IL .gov as he won't be dictating policy or voting for funding. At least I don't believe it does.

Topinka sucks...

Blagojevich's latest accusation against Topinka came as the Democratic governor received the endorsement of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Handgun Violence.

But Topinka on Tuesday said she has been consistent on the campaign trail in her opposition to laws that would allow some citizens to carry concealed weapons.

ETA:

Mark McCoy, Libertarian...

First, I fully support the efforts of ICARRY.org, and will do whatever I can to help them get the word out to Citizens who seek to exercise their unalienable right to possess the protection they see fit for the defense of themselves and others. To my chagrin, I realize that I should have addressed this much earlier. My only excuse is that this is so obvious I didn't need to speak specifically to the issue. Let me be clear. I am in favor of, not the second amendment, but the inherent, unalienable right to defend ones' self, their loved ones, neighbors, and citizens.  The second amendment, although a good idea, us often used as an excuse by government to weasel around the amendment's intent, and instead use the courts to interpret the meaning as it applies to the issues of the day. Yes, this means having the right to have, on your person, a firearm, be it concealed or not. I also believe that the use of a weapon against another in an act of aggression should be a dealt with harshly and swiftly. Without belaboring  this obviously fundamental right, I feel it necessary to outline what I would do to protect this right; to remedy any injustice befalling those who exercise this right; and what to do to further safeguard this right. First, I will issue an executive order that prohibits any arrest or prosecution of anyone who is merely in the possession of a firearm and not engaged in a crime where that firearm is used in the commission thereof. Next, I would pardon anyone presently serving time, probation, or having such punishment on their record for a non-offensive use and carrying of a firearm. Lastly, I would push for a REAL constitutional amendment that allows the carrying of concealed or open weapons. Does this mean that we will have more armed people within the public-at-large? I don't know. We don't know how many armed people are out there now. There is no way to tell. There are probably plenty of armed bad guys, but again, no accounting of their numbers. The Illinois Constitution does not make it illegal to carry a concealed weapon. It states that "subject to the police power..." The police power does not mean the police have the right to say who can, or can't, carry a weapon. The police power primarily deals with commercial activities. It is not necessarily constitutional power. Police power does not apply to Citizens who are acting within their Sovereign State Citizenship. It pertains to United States citizens who derive from, and owe their privileges and immunities to, the federal government. If you are an American Citizen, then the police power does not touch you.

Yes, he is the real deal. My wife and I will be voting for him for Governor. My conscience will not allow me to vote for the other pro-death candidates in Ill-noise. We have canvased our neighborhood and will windshield canvas on one of our mega-churches parking lots this Sunday for Randy Stufflebeam. And he is a valid write-in candidate. The Good Lord has given us an opportunity with Randy to vote for a man with leadership and integrity, and we aren't going to waste it. Besides we are held accountable for what we do with the freedoms God has given us. And if Blago gets in or even Topinka wins...things will still stay the same. They are both sell-outs.

Of course Topinka sucks, but at this stage, its either her or Blago, and at least she has a chance of winning.

We all agree that there are much better candidates that Topinka, but we all know they will not win.  Therefore, we have to do horsetrading and make sure Blago is not re-elected.

(Unless you are putting your eggs in the basket that Blago wins and will be indicted and step down or something).

Did anyone else hear the latest poll has her down by only 4 points?  I don't know which poll, but I hope it the truth.

I'm not a big fan of JBT, but after hearing a couple interviews I have hope.  I doubt she'll sign a CCW, but I doubt she'll push for a state AWB.  I can live without a CCW. I don't want to live with a AWB.

I'm hoping on that 4 points too. If in fact she does win she may be pressured by the NRA to vote accordingly due to the fact she has been highly endorsed by the NRA. She owes them that much if she does in fact win.

As far as Randy, he really needs to do more to get his name out there. Perhaps even working along side the (R)'s to help clean up this state. I truly would like to see alot more of this guy.

Randy was a Republican until he got fed up with the party backing RHINO's. Face it guys, the Republican party in Ill-noise is just another arm of the Democratic party. They are for the most part a bunch of politicizing whores. Haven't you noticed everything stays the same no matter who is in power!?!  You will probably have to choose in the near future whether you're going to keep and hide your AR's or sell them off. There is no such thing in politics as the lesser of two evils...it's still evil.

When it comes to guns Blago isn't a "sell out".....he really does want to take our guns away. That's why JBT is better than Blago,  she doesn't get hot and bothered about banning the peasant's (read: our) guns like he does.
