Do you have to engrave your SBR with your trust name on it to be legal? |
|
IIRC a firearm must have the name address and serial number of the "maker". Now your trust is a legal entity a "person" if you will. This person has been granted the authority by the government to Make a short Barreled rifle which you use a regular rifle as parts for. the maker of the original rifle has already put their name and address on the rifle. Your trust must also then put it's name and address on the rifle. With a corporation it is a lot easier. in theory you could use an abbreviation for the full name of the trust. However, I’m really out of my depth here. This is all CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) stuff whereas I know state laws off the top of my head. |
