Anyone know the current timeline for transfer of a SBR from start to finish?

Varies..... depends on the cleo signoff (if going that route) and the BATFE's workload.

last i hear they are kinda back logged.. did u do a trust or  did u go for cleo sing off.. the cleos are takeing a bit longer.i did a trust for inverse squar last month and im pretty sure he went pending last week..

Started a form 4 before I left for Florida transferring on of my SBR's back to HDI that was the beginning of June it completed last week (2nd week September) and bear in mind that was going to a dealer which is normally quicker.

Again... varies.... sometimes it can be faster either way.... it just depends on the BATFE's work load.

Trust is faster as the NFA branch does not have to wait for the FBI checks to come back, you also do not have to wait for the CLEO to sign off your forms.

Are you transferring an SBR or building a SBR on a form 1? The form 1 is really simple and directions are posted in the general class 3 section here on arfcom.
