SCUBA anyone? > North Carolina

Anyone else on here dive? Just wondering if so I may need a dive buddy some time...havnt been diving in a few years but want to get back into it.

Yeah I just got into diving a couple of years ago. I had to put it on hold while I'm stuck here in Iraq but can't wait to do some diving when i get home. So I'll be looking for a dive buddy since my wife dosen't dive.

My wife and I have been looking for another couple that dives. We'd like to make a trip to the Dive Quarry in Raleigh. Let me know if you're interested.

Unfortunately my wife is a beach bunny...its hard enough to get her far enough into the water to get her toes wet.
I am interested in finding out more about these quarries as I dont have the time or money to be going off shore all the time.

We've been to Fantasy lake on Rock Quarry road once last summer. It was a pretty fun time, lots of underwater sheer cliffs to play on. They have some landmarks to practice navigation w/compass etc. It was a little pricey, but no more than a nice dinner and drinks.

Whats CCW goes with a wetsuit?

Certified Divemaster here, but it's been a LONG time.

I need all new gear, too. Mine rotted away after 8 years of non-use in Florida.

I don't suppose there are any CAVES to dive in, eh?

Hey Slacker, I just got your phone message. Sorry, first day back at school and I fell asleep when I got home. I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Glock is the ideal CCW for a wetsuit. I believe I'll use the 34. If you're dry suit diving, then it opens up your options.

The GF is certified but hasn't been diving since she got her card.

Haven't "seriously" dived in years (demonstrating for my son's Cub Scout pack in the YMCA's pool once a year doesn't count as "diving").
I'm in Charlotte now.....moving to Indian Trail within the next week or so (depending on when the house closes). Anyone local???
