i meet monthly at a restraunt for my ww2 reenactment group and we are always bringing in stuff to sale and swap. the owner doent mind. i am in the woodstock area. i do like the "shoot and swap" idea though. |
Metropolitan Parkway? Is this a "swap meet" or a "meat swap"? Damn, you can get a hooker, a .38 special, crack, VD, and a new car on that road. However, if you HAVE to be on Metropolitan Parkway, an AR15 is an almost mandatory item to have. |
I am only in the market for 1. A nice Jennings (or any other nickel gun) 2. Oral copulation 3. A little herpes, maybe some crabs nothing to bad. 4. A stolen chevy big body. Yep I hit the nail on the head with my first suggestion. |
I think the only guns available on Metro Pkwy all, strangely enough, have scratch marks where the serial numbers are. What's the freaking odds of that happening? They got some nice nickle plated bling bling there though. Need a Mercedes emblem to hang around your neck? |
Who needs serial numbers. They just make the value of the gun go up. |
LOL! Ah yes, old Stewart Ave.! ~ s0ulzer0 |
I'll definitely put May 29th in my agenda. Long time since I smelled burned powder. ![]() By the way... I have a free-float tube, brand new, for the AR15's long barrel. Bought for my AR10 but it was too small for it. I bought the AR10 tube and never used the AR15's. It's brand new, inside plastic bag. If anybody is interested I can bring it. I'll also bring one of my wicked air rifles (not for trade). |

The shoot is at the Charlie Elliot WMA shooting range. Some of us meet for breakfast fist at the Craker Barrel off I-20 exit 82 around 08:00. Leave there at 09:00 to get to the range around 09:30. Range directions: If driving from Atlanta, I-20 east to exit 98. Take a right and go down the road (south). You will go until you get to the town of Mansfield, GA. From the train tracks in the middle of town you will travel 2.7 miles, when you will come to a sign for Charlie Elliot WMA. Take a left, and the range is 1.4 miles down the road, on the left. The paved road will turn into a dirt road just before the range. There is a sign indicating where the range is, and you can see it from the road. The range is about 1 hour driving time from downtown Atlanta. Cracker Barrel info (if you want to mapquest it): Conyers, GA I-20 , Exit# 82 I-20 & State Route 138 1182 Dogwood Drive Conyers, GA 30094 Located off I-20 * Bus & RV Parking Available (770) 785-7600 Rossi, what kind of float tube is it? Is it railed? |
It's a shoot at Charlie Elliot WMA. It usually starts at the Cracker Barrel off of I-20 at exit 82 in Conyers at 0800. Then we're off to Charlie Elliot leaving the Cracka Barrel (coonaz speak) at 0900 to arrive at the WMA by 0930 for setup and shooting at 1000 sharp. Then usually at 1300-1400 it's off to Hooters off of exit 82 again, then head home from there. Dammit Book, you're a little faster than me! |
Hell son you can get all that at the Clairmont Lounge. |
Hey Mister Moderator. How about a tacked and maybe locked thread with this info and maybe the directions to the FOP? Can you add stuff to a locked thread? I know we have the Range Finder, but we are constantly giving out this info. There is a decent map that I sometime link to, you could add that too. ByteTheBullet (-: |
I am planning on being someones guest. ByteTheBullet (-: |
It is shutdown at BMW. I always have to work when they are shutdown. There is a lot of work we can't do until the line is shutdown. So they are shutdown for 3 days and I have to work them. 16+ hour days. Good overtime though. |

Is the swap meet happening at breakfast before the CE shoot on the 29th? It seems like that topic kinda' died off? What I need to know is, if it is, is it just firearm parts or is it going to be a broader swap meet of 'guy stuff' (tools, PC stuff, etc)? I got a ton of stuff, AR stuff as well as DSL modems, guitar books for any 'big hair metal' fans of the 80's, etc. I could bring enough stuff that it would take a UHaul and fill up a Shoney's (the entire restuarant, not just a meeting room!) |
Well hell, I needed a new coon skin cap. It is my understanding that the swap meet will be at the range...big gravle parking lot where guns are welcome. Cracker Barrel may not like guys swapping guns-n-stuff in the parking lot. Oh, traffic will pick up tomorrow, we get slow spells. ByteTheBullet (-: |
OK. I'll grab a dead coon for you if I see one. Usually there are many runned-over squirrels and coons on the roads nearby. What level of decay is acceptable? |

I started another thread here for us to list stuff we want and stuff sell/trade. WarDawg, I believe Bradd_D had a 20-round mag pouch he no longer needed. If not, I may actually have one. I'll check tonight. |

WarDog, I know the way you are feeling. I recently found a WMA down in my neck of the woods. (newnan). It is north of LaGrange. It take me about 45 min from driveway to range. So if you can't go play with everyone, well you can allways go play with yourself. Umm. I don't think that came out right. Buzz. |
