I have finally become more used to what passes for a sense of humor here. I text Edge on occasion and look forward to taking him and his son shooting at Metacon when we can pick a date. As to the SWAT Challenge, it is open to the public. Please feel free to come down and verbalize your complaints as to the trampling of your rights and the ever present killing of your dogs. (Actually, if you don't own a dog, just tell us and we will give you one for free...then kill it). After all, we all work for you. Because I like all of you so much (and of course, work for you) I will also provide you, gratis, with all of the pertinent case law regarding search and seizure so when we come for you (well, IF we come for you) you can quote it chapter and verse. It won't a make a difference but it may make you feel better. Finally, because I still truly feel guilty about not going to the WH get together, I will be going to the Danbury event on the 29th. Not the shooting portion (no way in hell) but the drinks afterwards. I hope to meet more members because the ones I have so far have been very nice guys. This will give some of you the opportunity to personally express that which you so eloquently put in writing here...your hatred of The Man. Conndcj gets the humor. If I am able to I may try to get there to watch some of it. The 18th is booked but maybe the 19th I can swing it. It is hard with work. If I worked for you guys like Conndcj then I could ask on here for some time to go.
I am trying to arrange to go to the event on the 29th. I probably will not partake in the shooting event portion but will meet you guys after for the adult beverages. August is a busy month but I really want to meet some of you. |

Thanks Andrapos. I've shot with a few CT SWAT guys and trainers, all great shooters and better than I, but it would be fun.
Seriously, have you seen the taser event? You ride the lightning for 30 straight seconds, then immediately get up and engage a plate rack.  The SWAT Challenge is a ball buster, I think PARTS of it look like fun, but parts of it just plain suck.

Quite frankly I don't get this hubbub. Dogs make terrible reactivate targets. I am deeply excited to see some of our more infamous members at the get together, for their taste in firearms, fine food, and fine tobacco.The far north get together was great and I can't wait to finally meet almost everyone, especially in my AO. Everyone, please try to make it, and definitely don't bail. Don't be shy. We don't bite..this is CTHTF...we do worse than bite  |
