Wife and I will be traveling to Nashville for the NIN concert at the Bridgeport Arena. We'll stay for the weekend and do spend a day on the strip. Was in Nashville 2 years ago but we rented a big house with the full fam. It was in the ghetto but gentrified area so never felt unsafe. Looking for safe hotel areas around downtown that's below $400 a night or cheaper. Mostly concerned about leaving truck parked and not having my vehicle broken into. I'm assuming Bridgeport has metal detectors? I CC'd on the strip and in multiple bars and never had an issue. Yes I believe it's illegal to do so. Does Bridgeport have the fancy type detectors? Have ceramic knife id like to carry so I'm not totally disarmed... Thanks guys. |

There are several nice hotels within a block or two of Bridgestone. Hilton, Hampton, Omni, Drury and if you don't mind walking a few blocks there's a Margaritaville Hotel on 5th Ave. The arena does have very fancy detectors. They "look" for unusual shapes in clothing. Be careful carrying anything there. |

Permit holders can legally carry in establishments where alcohol is served, but cannot consume alcohol while carrying. The exception is when the establishment has its entrances posted to prohibit carry, as the signs carry legal weight. I typically stay in Marriott properties and have used the French Landing Dr Fairlfield Inn, several times, and driven in to the city center and paid for parking. After the concert, I prefer to start driving home to West TN, so I stay in Dickson. Both locations are in the $159-$200 range, unless ACDC postpones their concert with pretty much no notice and the hotel knows they have you by the balls... |
