Our club are having a competition day on the 6th November at Lydd. We're on a 100m serial but we've a varied course of fire. If anyone wants to come along you're more than welcome, although I'll have to limit the numbers to a maximum of five.
If you're interested just IM me for more details. Entrance fee is £10 with all proceeds going to Help for Hero's. The provisional COF is as follows although it is still being worked on so may change: 1.Average Shoot. 10 shots unspotted on a standard A4 Target. This will be run throughout the day. 2.Timed Run up. Weapons and 10 loose rounds will be left on the firing point at 50m, competitors will be taken back to the 100M. Upon the command Standby, Standby, Go they have 1 min 30 sec’s to run to the point, load and fire off the 10 rounds. 3.3 Position Shoot. 15 rounds. Competitors will fire 5 rounds from 3 positions – Prone, Kneeling/Sitting & Standing. These will all be unsupported, no mag resting or forward grips. 4.Limited Exposure. 10 rounds shot from the prone position. The rifle will be held in the rest position. They will be given exposures of 3 sec’s with a random period in between shots. 5.Club Gun Shoot. 10 rounds of RG, any position. Using the club Saiga with open sights, everyone uses the same rifle. This will be shot on one lane throughout the day so that everyone can have a go. 6.Terrorist Shoot. 5 rounds any position. A target with a terrorist holding a hostage as a shield will be provided. Competitors have 30 sec’s to put all 5 rounds in the Terrorist. 7.3 Gun Shoot. 5 rounds Rifle at 100m, 5 rounds Shotgun at 50m & 5 rounds pistol at 25m. 8.Conker Shoot. Two conkers per target. Two shooter side by side. 5 rounds first to hit conker wins. 1.Snap Shot (Shotgun/LBR). 12 rounds standing. Weapon will be loaded with six rounds and held in the ready position. Target will be available for 6 x 2 seconds with between 3 -5 second intervals. Weapon must be returned to the ready position between shots. This will be shot twice. 2.Snap Shot (Black Powder Pistol). 6 rounds standing. Weapon will be loaded with six rounds and held in the ready position. Target will be available for 6 seconds. 3.Rapid Fire (Shotgun/LBR). 12 rounds standing or kneeling. Target will be exposed for 30 seconds, this will include reloading time. 4.Sharpshooter. Pistols only, 6 rounds standing, 6 rounds kneeling. Target will be exposed for 10 seconds. Competitors then get 3 minutes to reload then another exposure of 10 seconds. |

I've amended the course of fire to include a team shoot as there are four of you coming. It will comprise of 4 members per team, one will shoot standing, one kneeling, one sitting and one prone. 10 rounds to be fired in 30 seconds. Slings are allowed but no bipods or rests and no mag resting. Magazines can be loaded beforehand but must not be loaded into the weapon until the command to proceed is given.
Also all the scores from the individual competitions will be added into a team score as well. We should have some trophies to hand out at the end hopefully. There's no restriction on clothing so wear what you like (within reason) I reckon you'll need about 100 rounds for rifle, 41 for pistol and 29 slug for shotgun if you shoot each competition once. We'll see how the time goes but I think we should be able to shoot everything twice at least so that should give you some idea for ammo. |

I'd better get the Dillon going for the pistol ammo then, I'm nearly out! It'll only take a couple of hours to make 1,000 rnds tho Tho do you think LBR or LBP would be best? ETA: Anyway, does anyone else in Team Arfcom have a pistol? (besides Section 7 Either to be honest. We might strip the pistol comps out of teh overall results as not everyone has them. We'll still shoot them though. I've added all your names to the gate list and that will go off next week. I just need to email the forms to you with directions, insyructions etc. IM me your email addresses if you haven't done so already and I'll get them out to you. Cheers |
