You sound like a good friend, since you overpaid him for the items. 
I passed up two AR-15 rifles from coworkers about two weeks ago for $1K each, because they were $800 rifles pre-panic, and will be again. I've bought 14 PMAG's since Super Bowl Sunday for pre-panic prices, and bought 500 rounds of LC XM855 probably 3 weeks ago from an Indy resident for $200 (40 cents a round). So.. Rifle - $800 Mags -- $150 ($15 each) Ammo -- $320 Total: $1270
