ScrapHeap, calling ARFCOMM, can you hear me over?! My location is Brevard county!
I'm a new guy to the AR-15 collecting scene, but I am no noob. I was going for a full size rifle, in A4 variant, from Armalite, but have been told by a friend that an Ammo Attic nearby had a DPMS for only $600+Tax. I have seen a list of the top 15 AR companies you guy's made up with quite a good consensus, with DPMS at 14 I think, and Armalite at 7. I heard about the BCG breaking and other problems with DPMS, but it still has a good rep. Should I just go out the door with it, or pay a little more for the Armalite and wait. Last time I checked with them, they seemed to be catching up with the demand. Edit: Let me start out by saying, I posted this before i found out about what has been going on in the news with the possible AWB looming overhead. I thought I still had time to make a wise decision! I'm just surprised that nobody decided to bash me for two seemingly conflicting statements. |

Welcome aboard. No advice about the rifle, tho. I seen you and the misses strolling through the Mall the other week, I was going to hollar at you but I didn't want to freak you out again... LOL, just wasn't expecting you to pull up at the house like that!
