I was having the same conversation with a bunch of friends at work and one good friend Dave is black. He took great offence of the whole Carol Thatcher golliwog issue. He said It wasnt racist at the end of the day its just a bunch of people who look for a scape goat in something someone has said. While we were on the same conversation a few other news storys were raised . It would be intresting to see your views on these

Guardianistas are angst ridden middle class twats who spend their time being 'right on' and asking themselves, 'If I was Black, Musilm, Pastafarian, would I find this offensive'? Once they have decided THEY would find something 'offensive' there is no dissuading them from their crusade to slay the latest 'oppression' they've unearthed. Mts Vito had a Gollywog when she was a kid, she has a collection of Robinson's Jam Golly pin badges too, what our screaming and foaming at the mouth Guardinanistas don't know, because 99.9% never actually meet any coloured people, (but Giles, I've read all about these terrible things!), is coloured people don't regard Gollywogs as a symbol or racism or racist oppression! |
