I know there are alkl kind of opinions on this but i have a couple guns that i want to get rid of and wasnt sure about selling them. Before when ive bought from individuals ive brought a paper with both my name and theirs that we both signed. The seller signed that it was theirs and i signed that legally i could have it. I think i may have even put DL #'s on there too. How do yall go about selling guns? There is a gun show coming up so i thought about carrying it with me but really wasnt sure how that worked. I also have a gunbroker account but ive only sold one item there so my feedback isnt high number wise. As for shipping do i have it right (if going the gunbroker route and they are out of state) that i need to take it to a FFL and have them send it to their FFL? What about if its in state but not local so i want to ship it? Lastly what are some averages for what the FFL's charge to do that service? Thanks for any help, Major |

Thanks for any help, Major No, you don't have to have an FFL ship the gun for you but it must be shipped to an FFL. Some FFL's won't accept shipments from non-FFL's for some odd reason. |

You pretty much got it right. If you want to maximize your $$$ then go the Gunbroker route. I do most of my business with Fedex Ground as it convienent for me, priced good, and no waiting in line (I went online and got a Fedex accounnt - they come to my door and pick it up - I think it took 5 minutes to open an account).
Since the gunshow is this weekend I would recommend taking it to the Florence gun show as it may be your path of leastmost resistance, and you just never know what you may find. Happy hunting! |

I have a 16" AR and a Yugo SKS that i want to sell. I also have a 21" AR upper im thinking about selling. If i lucked out and found someone with one i wanted to do a partial or trade for a full size 4.25" barrel M&P 9mm pistol. If you want any other details please e-mail me so i dont tun this into a for sale thread by accident. Thanks, Major |

Did you have to tell them it was a handgun(FedEx)? I recently sold a handgun on Gunbroker. The buyer is out of state, do I need to fill out anything from sheriffs office? Do I need something from the buyer? Obviously, I'm shipping to an FFL and have a copy of the FFL license. |
