Seems there a bunch of folks on the forum that are in the tech world so before I made the big leap forward thought I would check in with you experts!  I have been looking around for a Co-location facility to drop my 1U server into but I have no idea who all these companies are around here.  I of course am looking for a place that won't charge me an arm and leg, but I also am interested in a properly ran Co-Lo, hopefully that provided a decade firewall solution and 24 hour on-site tech for reboots at 3am, remote boot, etc.  Do you guys have any suggestions on a reliable place… hopefully somewhere near my direction which is north of Everett.

TIA
Ramster

These days, unless the server is something very special, I recommend just renting a server. EV1 Servers in Texas is one that I have used with good results (one example, they had a fire in the local power transformer, no servers went down). Stay away from Server Beach. If you can afford it, Rackspace is the best to go with.

The problem with most of the locals that I am aware of is that they actually colocate in the Westin building and have no real on-site staff, so a reboot or getting to your server can take hours or days.

I currently host my server here in my garage...but that's not really...Safe I guess.  Is there a particular concern that would make you want to pay someone else to have your server?
