Heading to Florida tomorrow to visit my dad.
My mother passed away in June so needless to say we are devastated. My brother and I are headed there to hang with pops for a few days and would like to take him shooting. He has a Winchester 30-30 he just bought that we would like to shoot. So floridian arfcommers , anywhere near Melbourne Florida to accomplish said mission?? Thanks |

Yup. I live in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area and although you can't use the Malabar Club (private), you can go down to the Indian River County range (public). They have rife, pistol, air gun and archery ranges. The rifle ranges go out to 100yds.
Just head south on I-95 to the SR512 exit (Fellsmere/Sebastian), turn east (left) and go about 2 miles. The road to the range is on the left. They're closed on Monday-Tuesday. It's about a half-hoiur south of Melbourne. They have a website with range rules and other info ( http://www.goshootingirc.com/ ). They also have a small store with targets, shooting supplies, some ammo, etc. |
