I'm forwarding on this email I received. Dear All, Please read on this is really important and will only take a few moments. Shooting needs your signature on the petition. Over £18 million approx (at the 2006 bid price) will be spent on building the 2012 Olympic shooting sports venue at Woolwich Barracks and then after the Olympics it will be pulled down again. This is not only a total waste of money and an immoral use of resources but more importantly it does not leave any lasting legacy for shooting sports in this country. Every year the Great Britain shooting teams work hard to bring home medals from competing in ISSF and FITASC disciplines world wide. Surely it deserves a lasting legacy? PLEASE PLEASE SIGN at the link below. And if possible get others to sign it. petitions.pm.gov.uk/OlympicShooting/ Thank you for taking the time. |
There is currently no danger area allocated at the Woolwich site...

I imagine this only applies to the shotgun events as the SB rifle and SB/CF pistol events would probably be on enclosed no danger area ranges. |
