Looking for some input on a single point AR sling.  Any suggestions? I saw a couple at the tactical rifle match and they seem to work very well. I'm new to the tactical rifle so I need some suggestions.

I have a single point and it's nice till you switch to pistol and kneel down. It dumps the muzzle into the dirt unless you practice to bump it fwd or to the back.  I also have a Vickers 2 point padded model and i really like it.  No muzzle dump. I can use either now but the single took a bit longer to use without marring up my phantom flash hider.

It's different strokes for different folks as the rule so try different kinds till you find what works for you.

Single points hit my knees or balls and go muzzle-down into the dirt sometimes when taking a knee.  Great for shoulder transitioning.

I don't like 'em.

I'm against them. If you have a big armor vest then I would say MAYBE run one. For what most of us use in a training class, or a day at the range, go with a Specter three point or something of the like. Your rifle will stay mounted in your shoulder pocket better, and it won't whack you in the nads. Additionally, with the three point, the barrel won't hit your leg and burn you. (I've been told this can happen )

You can fab up a simple single point easy with gear from Ace hardware.

I doubt it will cost $5 to try it.

You need to try a Jones Tactical single point. Made in Atlanta and top quality. This is by far the best single point sling I have tried.

The cons of the single point outweighed the pros for me so now I use two points.

Damn, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets nailed in the junk when transitioning with a 1 point sling. The only reason I use it is it's easier to use when slinging it over body armor, etc.

I use and recommend the Vickers Tactical two point sling, once you use it, you wont go back.

I like the single points.  but I don't know what I am doing either.  I bougth one from Bradd.  brought it home and realised how simple it was.  I then went to Joanne's fabric and about $8 worth of supply and about 30 min on my wife's sewing machine I made two more :)

yes, I know I am opening my self up since I mentioned I know how to sew.  my mother taught me and it is a very useful skill to have.
