| I am looking for a silversmith or some other type of metal worker in the NOVA area, who can work on silver or silver plated eating utensils from early 1950s. |

Quoted:
Lawrence Miller in Old Town Alexandria knows what they're doing. I am about 99% sure this is who I used a few years ago to repair/renovate a very old trophy that I was responsible for. The price was right, the quality was outstanding, and he even hooked me up with a trophy person down the road to get a new base for it and a travel case. -shooter ETA: Confirmed - it is the right place. The trophy I had him work on was a very old silver chalice donated to be used as a rotating trophy for a somewhat prestigious competition (in my mind). It was bent, tarnished, missing a finial, and generally neglected after several years of being abused by college kids. Lawrence straightened, polished, replaced the finial with an age-appropriate piece that was a very close match. I was almost expecting to see pictures of his work on his web page. I may send him some if he didn't take any. |

They are old school silversmiths and do quality work. |
