...on the back, because he just hit a personal goal this weekend.

After starting competitive shooting last year in March, and not having the gear or any training, he studied, he practiced, and he endured much hardship from his wife in order to become.....

The Amateur Nationals TacOps class A champion!

Eaze took first place and now.....now there will be no end to the smugness.

Good job, buddy.

18th ain't bad, right?  I needed that bottle of oil....

Thanks, but care to share some of that oil???

I needs it for my new rifle!

Match was a blast and everyone had a lot of fun there. Honestly, it was the hot pink holsters and pink RockTape that did the trick. I thoroughly distracted and confused my competition! haha

I had several primers fail to ignite, and a couple penalties in the match. Got the next couple days to make sure my federal primers in my new ammo go bang each time before Fallen Brethren this weekend!!!

User (reloader) error on the primers?  Not seated deeply enough?

Rifle primer may not have been seated deep enough, we never found it. We found all the pistol rounds and checked primer strikes and they were all solid and should have gone off......but they were also S&B primers Leanman and myself got cheap during the panic and have required me to use a stronger striker spring all season to get reliable ignition. This was my last match with them, I have 1000 rounds loaded up with Federal primers and am taking 300 of them with me to Fallen Brethren 3-gun this weekend. I went through all of them today to make sure the primers were seated perfectly. There were a few that were well within an acceptable range, but not quite perfect, so I culled them to the side for practice ammo. After this season, I'm switching to ALL CCI primers in rifle and pistol, sticking with 69gr SMK rifle pills, and have some Black Bullets Intl 147gr p-moly coated pills to try out that look promising so far.

currently running 147gr MO Bullet Co cast lead around 880-900 fps.

Mixed cases from processed once fired brass
3.4gr Win WSF
1.125" COAL
Dillon crimp die is set to a somewhat light crimp
Primers were S&B primers....new loads I ran off 1000 projectiles Leanman gave me with are 1000 Federal SP primers I had from a Cabelas panic buy.

NEW load I'll be running next year is....
Once fired processed brass.....contemplating buying all once fired nickel plated or single headstamp to avoid crimps and so on.
3.3gr of Win WSF
147gr BBI p-moly coated
1.125" COAL
CCI #500 SP Primers
.......................................from what I've played with so far, the BBI bullets look to be from the same casts as MO Bullet Co and the coating takes it from .355 to .356. Accuracy has been a little better than MO Bullet Co and I dropped .1gr to stay at the roughly the same fps (it's still a little faster), which is where I'm finding my best accuracy. I'm guessing the tighter fit in the barrel and slick coating are the cause for the slight jump in velocity. I am noticing that I get a lot less smoke with the moly coated pills vs bare cast lead. I have 3000 of them to play with, I'll likely run 500-1000 of them over the winter to stay fresh before next season, then load the rest up for the start of next season. Unless I pick up a projectile sponsor, I may stick with BBI due to the price and how fast they ship.

Thanks for the info. If & when I ever get my press set up up & running, I have about 6k of 147 jacketed bullets and another 6K of 147 lead from Missouri Bullet and black bullets from (I think) Precision Bullet to load.

I THINK that you have to bump the load up a smidget from the lead to jacketed bullets, but I REALLY like this load and WSF has not been hard at all to find when I needed it!
