I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 quad that has sat for years - we remember it running, and then it didn't.
Today I replaced the spark plug, new ignition switch (key was lost), drained the gas, and cleaned the jets on the carb. Still won't start. Checking for a spark tomorrow. Does anyone want to help me tackle this project? |

Sometimes old ethanol gas will plug up moe than the carb, Check for fuel as well as spark, I know you cleaned carb. If it has a battery clean the terminals, even if pull starting they usually provide ground. Good Luck, I'll check the fuel line - I drained the tank but did that just running through the petcock. I will check for spark after work. Abom I'm hesitant to use ether. |

Willing to bet the carb needs a good cleaning. Might be able to come by this weekend! Quoted:

Now it starts at full choke and won't stay running. I'm about to buy tannerite in bulk. 40lbs should do. Willing to bet the carb needs a good cleaning. Might be able to come by this weekend! I cleaned the main and pilot jet. It sure does. Stop on by buddy. |
