It's been getting pretty cold up at Skykomish. I am beginning to wonder if we are going to be able to move out all of the impacted soil that we need to before winter really sets in.

Although both would suck ... I think I'd prefer the heat. The snow would keep you cooler, but extremities would still get cold, and your feet would get more wet. Only now your feet are cold and wet, which is bad news for long term walks. Especially if you took occasional breaks ...

That said, the cool air on your face would feel a lot nicer than the hot air

my kid was looking over my shoulder at the pic and is all excited to go play in the snow now.....he keeps looking outside with a wtf look on his face
