Snow does not discourage potential gun BEREA––A little snow did not discourage more than a thousand people from attending the Cleveland-Berea Gun Show at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds today for the last such show before the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Promoter Dick Walters of Niles said there is concern that the new administration may make buying guns more difficult which could account for some of the numbers. "To tell the truth, our shows are always crowded," he said. "But people are concerned that the Democratic administration is anti-gun, like the Clinton administration was, so some are here before the inauguration." Obama previously voted to allow gun manufacturers to be sued for gun crimes, but said during the campaign that he would not try to take guns away from law-abiding citizens. While many Northeast Ohio residents were reluctant to hit the snow-covered highways Saturday, Walters said his customers had no such reservations. The gun show will be at the fairgrounds 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. The gun show features all kinds of new and used firearms for sale. An instant FBI records check is done before any gun is sold, but Walters said there is no longer a three-day waiting period. The fairgrounds is located at 64 Eastland Rd, Berea. buyershttp://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/01/snow_does_not_discourage_gun_l.html _________________ |

Snow does not discourage potential gun
BEREA––A little snow did not discourage more than a thousand people from attending the Cleveland-Berea Gun Show at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds today for the last such show before the inauguration of President Brack Obama. Nor did a blizzard (3 ft of snow) stop people from going to a play (Hair),A basketball game (Cav's), And just out to dinner. All those where " I had to go" I had tickets. So don't just think it's a gun show. Some people in N.E. Ohio don't have enough good scene to stay home when they should. So the Road Dept's don't have to deal with extra idiots on the roads as there trying to do there jobs. IE, look at all the torn up vehicles between Canton and Akron that we're left from the weekend. |
