I recently purchased a Colt Python and as this is the first handgun I've owned I have a couple questions about certain legalities. I'm twenty years old and live in Ar. I was told that it is legal for me to own and keep in my house and car. Is this true? Also can I keep it loaded in my car? Should it be concealed or not in my car? Can I keep it on my person in my car? Can I cross state boarders with it? If so, which ones?
Thank you for any answers i receive. Any extra input on anything you think I should be aware of would be much appreciated.

legally, you should forget that you own it until you turn 21.

i wouldn't carry it in any way form or fashion.  if you take it somewhere, it should be cased and unloaded

Plus even after you are 21, you cannot legally carry it loaded in your vehicle unless you are "on a journey".  This is typically considered to be traveling outside of your normal range of travel, ie more than 50 miles from home.

So follow the above advise and just plan on getting your concealed carry permit after your birthday.

You were told wrong. Illegal for anyone under 21 to posses a handgun without being under the direct supervision of an adult. Don't get caught with it in your car or it will get confiscated and you have to have a parent come get it back, which will take all day. But Arkansas is a pro gun state and most cops wont fuck with you about it, but it is still possible that you will get caught by the one who does everything to the letter and can't walk straight for the corn cob stuck up his ass. Good luck and enjoy your new big boy toy.

According to the NRA ILA fact sheet, you're incorrect. It states that a person under 21 may not purchase a handgun from a  retail dealer. It goes on to say that a person under 18 may not possess a handgun. So unless you bought it from a dealer (which would be impossible unless the dealer went full retard), you're fine.

I'm not so sure about that.
This site states that: "It is unlawful to sell, give, rent, or otherwise furnish a firearm to a person under 18 without the consent of a parent, guardian or other person responsible for the general supervision of the minors welfare."
Which I take to mean that you could to someone over 18.
also

"A person under age 18 may not possess a handgun or handgun ammunition, and it is illegal for a person to provide a handgun or handgun ammunition to a person under age 18, except for target shooting, hunting, or certain other exempted purposes. (Youth Handgun Safety Act, 1994)"
Again the same thing. I could only find restrictions on people 18+ buying from a dealer. Which i did not.

Well I guess I apologize, I was wrong after all. Fuck Off SWATTTC you heard it before. I did some more looking and found some interesting information. Guess it would be legal for you to own or even take it to the range and shoot it, but don't conceal it without your CCW. SRY don't really deal alot with underage possession of firearms, not really high on the got to do list. More like not on there at all.

A person must be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or handgun ammunition, and 18 years of age to buy a rifle or shotgun or ammunition, from a retail firearm dealer. (GCA, 1968)

It is a federal felony to provide false information (such as lying about one`s age) to a firearm dealer, to deceive the dealer into selling a firearm to a person not entitled to make the purchase. (GCA, 1968)

Regardless of age it is illegal to possess a firearm on or within 1,000 feet of school property, with limited exceptions. (Gun-Free School Zones Act, 1996)

the ammo restriction could possibly make it difficult to shoot, but i've only ever been "carded" for ammo at a walmart......and even then they usually just ask your age.  in that case, lie.
