I used to shoot fairly regularly but have not hunted in a few years, so there was no need in getting a hunting permit. I would either shoot around the house or go to one of the two WMA's in our area that had shooting ranges.
My family, especially the city dwellers who don't get to go out and shoot much, would hit me up to take them shooting when they were at our house for Thanksgiving or Christmas. However during the past few years we have not done it because of the requirement of getting a GORP for one day's use. I had an annual GORP but no one else wanted to get one just for one day's use. We always ended up doing something else instead.
When I went online today to renew my GORP, I discovered the annual group GORP for $35.00 and bought one. Now I can take a group of 8 to the shooting range with no problem. I just thought I'd share this info for anyone else in the same family situation. Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving! |
