I was looking online and their ammo prices are pretty good.  Do they have a showroom in St. Paul and are the prices the same?  The shipping across the Twin Cities is like 50 bux, for that kind of money I don't mind driving across town....

Anyone know where their warehouse is?  They don't show that info on their website....

411 Farwell Avenue
South Saint Paul

Edit to add: I have never been there, heard if you want an advertised price,
print the pages of what you want to buy, and bring that with you to their store.

As long as we're on the subject of Sportsman's Guide, has anyone ever purchased/used their cheap 1911 magazines?  Here's a link.  I can't find any information on the manufacturer anywhere.

The bad part about going to their showroom is they don't honor the buyer's club pricing.

Ironically, you can get it shipped even locally for cheaper with BC.

There are two things you don't go cheap on:

1. Toilet paper
2. Tools.  And since guns are tools, don't go cheap on them.

The entrance is behind the big propane tanks around back.If you see some deals
on the net it is best to print them off and bring the slip in.
Have been there before and they wouldn't honor the deal I found on the web
because they couldn't find it.

If you know someone in WI you can avoid MN sales tax as well.

I might have to do the WI straw purchase method as well.

Buy a membership and have it shipped over to Hudson...

Have to wait and see.

Just picked up 500 rounds of 9mm and 1k rounds of 45.  Was my first time at the actual store part (i've ordered from them before).  I'm gonna go back next month and buy another case of 45 if possible.

What did you pay for .45 and what kind did you get?

All Aguila ammo.  9mm was 7.87 per box, 45 was 11.something per box.  That is still cheaper than WWB.  This is brass ammunition (115gr for 9mm and 230gr for 45).  As far as I know, this ammo is in no danger of running out, since it's not surplus.  They also have Fiocchi there for a little more (about $8.50 and $12.50 per box respectively), but I thought I've give Aguila a try.  If I like it, I'm about to drop more money on ammo than I ever have before in my life.

WWB is about 16.97 per 100 value pack for 9mm, and it went up to 26.97 for 45 100 round value pack!  Plus, when I went to inver grove wally world, the dumb shit behind the counter said he "lost" the keys to the ammo cabinet.  I always keep saying I won't go back there, but now I'm definitely not.

lol i go to that walmart quite a bit. so often in fact, im learning spanish!

i was there one time trying to see if they had the .223 i wanted... they moved the counter so you couldnt see the ammo. 2 of their employees found me behind their counter, crouched down with my G21 handle poking through my shirt  they were REALLY helpful but not very talkative
i bought a few boxes and GTF out!  i usually only go there for cheap t-shirts / socks / etc

Best deal right now on brass cased .45 (and I shouldn't share this little secret, but since they printed it in a catalog and sent it out to thousands) is 9.99 for Blazer Brass from Natchez.

I just ordered a case and it was like 230 shipped.

ETA: heh, since my order they've raised it to 10.49.  Still, that's only 240 for a case.  Not bad compared to wally world where they want $27 for 50 or $270+tax for wwb

It is worth looking around in the store too. I picked up a Coleman dual fuel lantern worth about $100 one time for $9. I thought it was mismarked so I asked about it. They said that must be right if it was marked that way. I figured for $9 bucks I could probably fix it and still get a deal. It worked perfectly.
