How is everyone doing? I'm hoping to hit public land next weekend. They were moving all over during my morning run.  Good luck all!

You been seeing 'em consistently?

I've had decent luck out in Ashtabula, I don't always get a gobbler but I always at least manage to call in some hens which leads me to believe I'm doing it right, I just get there after the dumb ones have been picked off.

My son shot this jake opening day youth. I'm hoping to get mine this weekend. It's always more fun to take a kid on a successful hunt than bagging one yourself. Licking County

Sir if the turkeys (and Deer) become a menace, I Would be willing to thin the herd out for you. It would be a burden that I would be willing to undertake

I had to keep chasing them away from my targets this morning.

I'm also looking for some public land to hunt.

My hunting buddy just had a kid and told me that our last turkey hunt this season was a few days ago. He had access to private land and we were unsuccessful when we went out.

I'm hoping to get my first bird this year and am doing research on the following counties:  Lorain, Medina, Cuyahoga, Summit, Lake, Geauga, Portage, Ashtabula

Can anyone give me their input where a newbie should go?
