I'm heading to Springfield next week to pick up my son for his pre-deployment leave. It's about a 2.5 hour drive for us, so we don't get into town that often. We're also planning a trip to Branson while he's here (get some throwed rolls, do some touristy stuff). Can anyone recommend a good gun store that we can visit while we're in town? We're building a couple of AR 15s while he's back and are always on the lookout for good deals. I know Bass Pro; I'm looking for something a little more . . . focused.?

| If you're going to bass pro just go north of the campbell and sunshine intersection and Loftis is on the nw side. They have a good inventory, and are friendly. Sof in ozark is just a stones throw away from lamberts if you're getting some throwed rolls Id shoot over the hwy and go there. And its an indoor range so you can rent or shoot your own. Not much in branson. And a lot of places are closed for the winter. |

| Another big +1 for Gunsmoke on Division and Glenstone (behind family video). Guys are top notch, I go there first then Loftis, 417 guns, then gunslinger if I really feel like it (in that order). Gunsmoke will treat you right/fair no matter who you are, and Brandon knows his stuff |

Thanks everybody for all the great suggestions. I really appreciate it.
We're not in the market for anything specific, but if I run across any deals, who knows. I would like to pick up a good scope for my youngest son's AR 15 deer rifle build, as well as a higher end optic for my middy. |

Those guys suck and they'll never get one penny of my business.
