It just happened to get an injection of massive cash in the past 20-30 years, but it's never really learned how to manage it effectively. The people who get elected here are still simpletons who were raised here when it was a backwater state - they're just leftist simpletons. They still act like they're running in small town, small state, pre-internet politics, and seem to believe that they can get away with anything without any public scrutiny - though it seems to have been the case thus far. We made the decision to move out of WA in late 2020/early 2021. I was 47 at the time and knew WA would get worse (and it has) before it got better and getting better, like to a pre-Inslee state, would take longer than I had left to live. We were able to realize our desired outcomes sooner by moving. Tens of thousands or even a couple of hundred thousand red voting Washingtonians have made the same choice and left. Including us, there were 5 families in a 104 family neighborhood that made the decision to leave WA for UT, TX, FL. My son was in a Christian private school for kindergarten and 1st grade in Washington. Each year, 25% of the students moved as their families left. |

| I just hit 20 years at my employer and had planned to do another 10 (Ill be 53 then and can draw my pension). Obviously I dont make 1 million plus, my only hope is that it takes some years for this to trickle down to my income level. I am relocating out of WA for sure upon retirement, but it will be interesting to run the numbers of taking the penalty and drawing early if they start taking 10% a year and see if its even worth staying for the extra 2% a year tacked on to the pension. |
| We're finally exiting at the end of August. I wasn't born and raised here like some of you but even having moved up here from Portland in '99, it breaks my heart to see what the state has become since then. I really loved it here. |

My parents who are in their 70s just bought a house in AZ and are on their way out. A lifetime of conservative voting and we see what it gets us…unfortunately my dyed in the wool libera lol in-laws also moved there and are actively trying to turn the state blue. Mind blowing the willful ignorance as to the cause of these issues. |

| I’d like to know how Ferguson can hire 300 new tax agents when we’re so broke and letting road work, bridge work and trail maintainance slide again. I saw that the Discover Pass price went up $15.00 this year to $45.00 and now the state has come out and said that due to a lack of money many trails will not receive maintainance this year and neither will many parking areas. They raise the price to help maintain and now they say they don’t have the money. You can’t make this shift up! |
