I'm looking to do some camping at some state forests this summer and I was wondering if anyone knew if there were maps available and where I could get them.
My google is weak and I have been unable to find any. |
|
Nope, been there. I'm looking for someplace that i can order actual maps from and unless i missed something the DNR does not offer this on their website. |
|
Why didnt I try that!! Oh wait, i did.
All those results point to the DNR website Do they have any way of ordering actual maps from them? I have not been able to find it on their site. |

Buy Lake maps, PRIM maps, and Plat Books from Minnesota's Bookstore, 651-297-3000.
http://www.comm.media.state.mn.us/bookstore/mnbookstore.asp That's all I could find. Sorry about the ribbing.

Maybe the USGS is more what you need?
You can download and print or order from them. USGS |

Sportsmans Warehouse used to have a machine that would print you a nice waterproof map of whatever area you wanted complete with trails and topography. I miss that place Thats the kind of map I'm looking for. Topo would be an added benefit. I want to do some off trail, non campground camping this summer and a good map of the area is a plus for that |

This. Now I don't have to find a link. You can download PDF map sections with lots of overlays, to include satellite imagery, roads, terrain, all different types of labels. You can also buy maps from them, to include in scales you have on military protractors for land nav. Not crazy prices either. |
