No trip to Northeast Arkansas is complete without a pilgrimage to Trent's. As mentioned, he stocks all of the good stuff. If you are interested in more hunting related goodies and don't mind driving another 15 miles or so, Food Giant in Harrisburg has about the best selection and prices in Eastern Arkansas. Also while in Jonesboro, Al's Lock and Key usually keeps some good stuff. While most of them have all the personality of Eeyore, the younger guy that works in there is pretty cool. They are on East Nettleton. I can also recommend Hawk's Outfitter's on S. Caraway. They usually keep an adequate supply of used guns and are fairly priced. A bunch of college kids work there and are easy to work with. If you want to see a bunch of guns you can check out D and W across the bypass on Parker Road. They are usually priced about 25% higher than any other place around town, but they have a large selection and the rich guy's around town don't care what it costs as long as they can go to one place to get it. I hear of a good pawn shop on Gee Street, but haven't ever been there. |

ok ok so I'm trying to catch up.... This is like th 4th "Trent's is the Mecca", "All Hail Trent's" message. How about a sticky (I mean the clean family type) about "If your comming to J'town, you cannot leave without a pilgrimage to Class III heaven and a wealth of knowlege that is TRC." Just a thought. Course, ya'll just made me realize I havn't been by Trent's in over 2 months! Jebus, what's wrong with me??!!!!! |
