Anyone have one in the NoVA area.  I know I can rent one, but some folks have this kind of shit locked up and waiting for the need.  Anyone got one that I can borrow???

Cold beer for a "free" rental......

Oh, some background.....

Tried to dig out a Bradford Pear stump today.  Well the tree was about 12" in diameter and there are roots that are over 8".  I have all but one VISIBLE one cut through.  Problem is my hands are shot from the abuse the axe gave it.......

Can't possibly keep that up to get the last visible root, then had tap roots to go....no way.

So, gonna try to grind the last root, see if it's loose.  If not, gonna grind it all the high roots too.

I thought Bradford Pears were prone to tipping over in high wind????

This fucker was going NO WHERE had we not cut it down.  These roots are bigger than some Willow roots I saw when a 100' willow was in need of removal many moons ago....

I mean I am guessing the on is 8" it could be bigger......

I have some Tannerite which can be used as a stump remover. .

You could try...  Dig up some if you can and attach a chain to your truck and drive away.

Need them before work

Ed before using the stump grinder you may want Miss Utility to come out and test the area, many of good intentions with a stump grinder has succumbed to those things in utility damage and possible physical harm.

I'm with Shivan. If anyone has a big stump grinder I would make it worth your time to get it to my house in Fredericksburg. I have at least a dozen 1 foot thick stumps with roots that need to be ground. Big steak dinner with all the trimmings and some cash to boot.
