Sorry, I just need a moment to rant here. For some unkonown reason, the post office keeps delivering my packages to the wrong freaking address. I live a 383 C Brittany Ct. In the six months I have lived here, I have had four packages delivered to 350 C and 350 H Brittany Ct. This includes ammunition. The last three times the people were very courteous and actaully had the package. But this time the package is listed as deliverd (a new chromed bolt carrier...) to 350 H, and I spoke with the people this afternoon and they never got a package. They were very willing to help and took my name and phone number and will let me know if it shows up. The strange parrt of this is two years ago I did actually live in apartment 350 H. But the post office continues to tell me they have nothing to do with addresing the packages, which is completely tru, but they continue to deliver them there and list my address as 350 H Brittany Ct. in their online trakcing system. Goddammit, this is so frustrating. |

Went dowwn to the post office and they gave me the number for the manager of the carriers. She said to call and explain what has been happening....maybe some kind of glitch in their processing software or something, who knows. The seller is a top notch guy, in the meantime he is shipping another bolt carrier to me, and if the first one shows up I will just send it back to him. Gotta give the guy credit, that is real nice of him! Dawg |
I wouldn't keep somebody elses parcels. I was joking. My address mixup was on the part of UPS. Am I wrong in thinking that if it's delivered to your door it's yours? |
Theft is still theft, but theft of US Mail is a federal crime. Just because it shows up at your door dosen't make it yours, however, if you're going to take it, take from UPS, not from USPS! |
Actually under Illinois law if someone sends you a product unrequested (not adressed to someone else) you can keep it free of charge. |
Well unless the people at 350 C or 350 H happen to have my exact name, I am thinking they aren't going to fall under that law! |

I know your frustration. I ordered a Limited Editions 14.5" Stag left handed upper from a dealer here on the board. Package shipped out via DHL. Had it setup so I would get a phone call when it was delivered. Got the phone call when I was at work. I get home, no package for me. OK, call DHL they said yeah, it was delivered. We left it on the front porch and gave me the address of where it was delivered. Guess what, wrong house. They delivered it across the street and down 3 houses when the package was clearly marked with the correct address. Luckly I live in a small town and I called over and talked to the neighbor. Yes, she had my package. I guess I'm not alone in dealing with incompetent delivery services. |
Actually it has to be addressed to you. It cannot be a mistaken delivery. Say a company sends you something that you did not request along with a bill. You can keep the item and not have to pay for it. |
