I finally found time to head out to Browns Camp to "break-in" the new AR.  I figured I'd avoid the weekend yahoos and go before work on a weekday morning.  It was a bit cold (40?) and wet, but nothing too heavy falling from the sky.

I can tell you this is one comfortable and fun gun to shoot!   I only had time to put 140 rounds through it (Remington 55g FMJ) between the 7 cleanings.  It got easier to clean as I shot more and more.  Believe it or not, this is the first AR I have fired.

Thanks again to everyone that helped me get this sucker together, esp. Peta and John @ Rainier Arms.

Just wait until my wife gets ahold of it and decides she wants her own [that I'll get to spec out!]

Thats what happened with my wife.  She put 150rds through my AR and wouldnt give it back.  wound up spending about $200 more on hers than i did on mine.  I love 2 way streets like this.  Buy her something nicer than mine, she feels bad, i get the green light for more stuff
