| Picked up some last week and tried it out, there is a pawn shop in Eugene that sells 8 targets and the tanerite to go in them, bought two packages and shot 8 of them and the whole mixture on the last one. Will def take a video next time. My question is, does anyone know where to buy it in bulk or cheaper than buying them individually like that? Cool stuff, thanks. Ben |
Its getting real hard to get that stuff w/o a license since the .gov is putting pressure on the chemical supply outfits... Oh and it's spelled TANNERITE!

1st off IBTL 2nd DO NOT try to make this stuff yourself unless you have considerable experance with it. if the mixture or the Mesh of the matrial is wroung it can become so sensitive to static and the like that it could very easyly blow up in your hands... basicly Tannerite is very stable flash poweder... but if you know much about these mixtures if they are mixed just slightly wroung it could prove to be so unstable that if you drop it, it will go off or is there is any sort of static charge it can go off... |
Dude, you are not serious right? First off, the management has said no more IBT-whatever. Second: Tannerite actually has an added sensitizer which makes it MORE sensitive than just NH4NO3 and Al powder, and it still won't explode unless shot with a rifle. There is a long going thread with the recipe and no one to my knowledge has expressed any concern. Mixing the stuff in the wrong proportions will result in a reduced explosion and waste of chemicals. You are seriously misinformed... |

Daniel, Tannerite co, is located in Pleasant hill, which is located on the same highway south of eugene on the way to Oakridge. Give Daniel a call, he's a great guy. while on the phone, you should ask him about the recent battles he's fighting so you can spread the word about how friggin stupid folks are with his product. IE: Don't try take it on an airplane! |
