Just keep in mind that we try to leave with more than we came with. It's a very clean area and the LCR's would put up road blocks to keep us city slickers out if we ruined that . Try not to bring anything that would be difficult to clean up if it shatters, no glass, etc. Anything that you can pack up, or put in the fire pit, after it's shot up is probably fine.

Bricks make for good reactionary targets that don't really need to be cleaned up.

It's good to bring this up again.  Remember that we retrieve our brass as well.  If everyone could police at least as much brass as they create then it will not be as hard for the guys that stay and clean up when it's all over.

Last LCR shoot we had about 10 people on Sunday policing brass and we spent about 30 minutes on our hands and knees cleaning up. I can honestly say we picked up 99.5% of all of the spent casings. Just remember that if you leave early or leave on Saturady we still expect the same amount of clean up time out of you. thanks

Rake, we need a rake, none of that crawling around stuff.

You are more than welcome to try it but since it is in a gravel pit I think you would be raking as many rocks as shell casings.

Ice has always worked well for me. It is a little on the spendy side depending on how many you shoot. Bowling pins are good as well because they dont leave to much mess behind you just have to pick up the bowling pin.

What we need is a very large canvas tarp.

Gee might they have something like that at Granger?

Rather then buying a $100+ canvas tarp , how about $20 in plastic sheeting?

As for targets, how about some spiffy 2x4 stands with a slot for upright 1x2s on which you can staple brokedown cardboard boxes and paper plates, which are burnable/recycleable.
Least thats what I use assuming I take targets.

How about some Kerry for President signs?  You can print your own on this website.  Sign up and click on the kerry sloganator down the left hand column.  It's pretty hilarious.  They also have a "Rachel Corrie speaks from the IHOP in the sky".

I use 4' lath, a staple gun, and sheets of cardboard.

Drive the lath in, staple the cardboard to them and shoot.

I heard 2wP brag that he was going to tow targets for us behind his new quad.

Moving target practice!

I would think that tarps would be a PITA but we can give it a go.  I brought one last time and we never even used it.

I thought about perhaps using plastic Easter eggs as Tannerite containers, but obviously that would leave plastic shards.

Clay targets would be out for the same reason.  Too bad, I have an old box and they're really cheap at Wal-Mart.

How about stale bread?  I wonder what the Wonder outlets do with all their excess inventory?  Probably give it to food banks though...

Well if we can wait until Sunday morning we should have a 4 dozen empty Coors Light cans. Thanks to 2WP of course.

Would clays be too messy?

Trust me, there is no plastic shards left when tannerite is involved!  It 100% completely destroys the host container upon detonation.  Feel free to bring you kids' easter eggs!

Well, I don't have any Tannerite, but I'll be more than happy to pick a few bags of eggs.  They're on clearance at Target (How's that for irony!) for 99 cents for a bag of 48.
