Hey guys,
I'm visiting the folks in Arkansas and have a concealed carry license in Texas. Could someone give me a rundown of places that I cannot carry at? Is there any specific signage that I should look for concerning prohibition of carrying firearms in facilities? Thanks! |

Thanks. Does written language include pictures of handguns with "no" signs on it or must it include the quoted language? Don't know, but I've never seen one in Arkansas. Seen these kinda pictures on almost EVERY KFC I've visited. Gun with a circle, slash through it. I believe those count. |

Thanks. Does written language include pictures of handguns with "no" signs on it or must it include the quoted language? Must specifically say what is in quotes. Picture does not matter. Sign placement is imperative. Exact wording is imperative. Even if the Arkansas code number is listed, the wording must match what is in quotes In the Arkansas code. "Carrying a handgun is prohibited." Without this it carries no weight. This is how it differs from Texas. The No guns symbol carries no weight here like it does there. Feel free to im me if you have anymore questions. |

(Unless your in Little Rock) It's Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. |

Arkansas Concealed Carry Association works closely with both the Arkansas State Police and our state legislature as a lobbying power to expand our rights as legally armed citizens of Arkansas. To me, they are telling over 75,000 residents of Arkansas and countless other CHL holders from other states, that they do not want our business. I also try to find a way to contact them and tell them why I will not be in their place of business and will be spreading the word to others who hold a concealed handgun license. |

The language used in the state statute sounds pretty clear to me. This is also what I have always been told by other Police Officers. There must me a sign that says specifically, "Carrying a handgun is prohibited". I don't think a picture of a gun with a line through it would stand up in court.

I believe your right. I've seen the gun with a slash sign before and assumed that they were legal notice, not that I cared anyway. SRY guess you learn something new every day. |
