Someone told me once that the shooting test you have to take to get a CHL in Texas is the same shooting test that police officers have to take to qualify with their pistols in Texas.

Is that true?

I hope not, cause I think I can pass the CHL test with my eyes closed.

No.  Peace officers have timed reloads, one handed and kneeling shooting.

That's the way NV does their CCW test. Plus one hand non dominant side.

I hope not.  If you don't get a perfect score on the CHL test, you ain't trying.

Its almost the same test as security officers must take to be armed.  It wouldnt surprise me if its the same test that cops take, most cops can't shoot anyway....and then there is the tiny percentage that are VERY good.

Used to be.  Actually, I don't think the TCLESOE requirements have kneeling anymore.  I qualify a couple of guys under LEOSA yearly, and always have to take my course of fire with me since I don't do it often enough.

No, the CHL test is EXACTLY like the armed guard test, it is NOT the same test cops take, and the claim that "most cops can't shoot anyway" is just BS.
