| Planning a whitetail/hog hunting trip to Texas for my son and I over Christmas break 2012. Can't wait to see your beautiful state! I have been checking out some ranches and guides on the net, contacted a few etc.. Wanted to check in with the locals to see if you guys had any places you recommend or to stay away from. We are not the least bit opposed to using a non commercial ranch and have done so in the past, any advice is appreciated! |

I went here earlier this year and it was great. Troy and his staff were outstanding. Bunk house style accommodations but the hunting and food were great. Also very affordable. $300 for 2 nights stay, food, fishing, target shooting and hunting.

Big thanks for all the help so far, TexasHuntingForums is the shit for sure. There is a outfitter on the forum offering hog hunts from helicopters, $600/hr 8 hunters, $4800 for the day. Using your ammo, he provides lunch. Not a lot of other details as he is just getting into this, maybe a group buy from Arfcom! Here it is..

It's a lot of fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. We shot all of this video last time we were down there for Wild River Ranch to use for their advertising.
